I did this picture to enter an online CG contest my friend, Bao Ngo, held for May. The rule   was to draw one of Bao's original characters.  I used a lot of PhotoShop's Gaussian Blur feature to make the even textured skin tone. The background is an actual photo of a red orchid, which i motion-blurred and adjusted to a magenta shade.
